Why We Love It

John Whorf is one of America’s foremost watercolorists. While he did many coastal and urban scenes, this work is a wonderful and rare example of his depictions wildlife in nature.

The Value

Collecting works on paper is often a good way to begin a collection since they tend to be more affordable than oils. Since Whorf is most famous for his watercolor paintings, collecting them is an opportunity to have the artist’s best work without having to pay a premium.
