Elizabeth Osborne, a prominent figure in Philadelphia's art scene, has distinguished herself with her diverse explorations in painting. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Osborne studied at Friends Central School, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), and the University of Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Osborne's personal life was marked by profound tragedy. She experienced the loss of her father to leukemia in 1945, followed by her mother's suicide in 1948. Her twin sister Anne also took her own life in 1955 while Osborne was in France on a fellowship.
